THE GREAT FAMOUS CARNIVAL

Carnival is one of the most famous festivals around the world. This is celebreted before Lent is the time to remind Catholics when Jesus gave his life for us. Carnival date varies between February and March depending on the year.

This party is lived between the combination of colors, costumes, masks and street parties. All this also depends on the country where it is held. It depends on the customs and traditions of the local people. For example are not the same carnival here in Ecuador than in Brazil, these are two different countries.

 It all began in the pagan celebrations, this holiday originated in Egypt, but the same was done in honor of "Bacchus", a Roman god. More than 5000 years ago has spread throughout the world, in Europe and America. According to records Ginness the world's biggest carnival is in Rio de Janeiro.

Carnival in Ecuador is a very big celebration. It is celebrated in many cities like Quito, Guayaquil, Riobamba, Lago Agrio, the largest held in Guaranda, this carnival is one of the most famous and large. Ecuadorians have a carnival culture, we play with water.

People also have habits of playing with water, flour, eggs, aniline and more. But unlike the people of the coast unlike people of the mountains to play with mud and everything they find. It also held parades in the streets of some cities.

Another celebration is in Ambato, a city in the mountains of Ecuador, the name of this festival is called "The Festival of Flowers and Fruits", this is celebrated every year with a large troupe that is on every street the city. People have fun playing carnival and distributed flowers and fruits in the audience, also taking place "Blue Bird" liquor typical of the city. People also used to go to the beach, they also have fun and play carnival with his family.

Every year I go with my family to Guamote, a city of the province of Chimborazo, I great fun, I played with my family and friends, we have a habit of getting wet, playing with flour, eggs and carioca.
