 The Ecuadorian Carnival

In Ecuador is very famous specially in cities like Ambato and Guaranda where people use to organize big parties and great parades.  This year in Ambato was a great parade full of fruits and flowers you can observe big trucks with wonderful decorations showing pictures made by flowers and fruits. Every place where you walk through the city has at least one picture made by flowers or fruits. For example the Big church in the central park of the city has a picture about Jesus , was in a boat with Peter the boat was made with some circle pieces of bread that shows the brown color of the boat. The Jesus’ dress was made with red and white flowers, the sea under the boat was made by blue flowers and Peters’ hat was made by red fruits, this was an amazing picture in the church’s door. If you are a tourist this kind of things call your attention. Beside of this in one of the most important avenues in Ambato  you find a bakery with a great decoration using different kinds of bread . This party is unique around the world, is not easy to find a place that shows their riches in fruits and flowers as this great city. 

 

On the other hand we can talk about Guaranda a little city near Ambato where prepare a different kind of parade, obviously with music and dancing. But it has a lot kind of costumer people that represent their culture and tales. In this cities they have many tales that talk about religion so they use costumes about this but the most important point here is the way that the citizens play carnival, they use water, flour , eggs, etc. They throw all of this things to their gests , and in this way start a big game and a big party. Other important thing here is that this city is very cold, so people here use to drink a lot of alcohol , so the party and the games has drinks.

Around this cities we can find little cities that use to play carnival in the same way, but the most famous carnival as a game and happy way is Guaranda. But Ambato is becoming a one of the most important and cultural parades around the world for their preparation , tradition and sophisticate use of fruits and flowers.
